I bought this TV to replace a 7 year old 50 inch Panasonic Plasma. I had three biggest criteria – largest possible screen size for my budget, 10 bit panel, and good viewing from various angles and in different lighting conditions (The TV sits in a relatively large room with lots of windows). The other two nice to haves that I was interested in were the latest formats (HDR10, Dolby Vision) and a very thin bezel. I had earlier tried a 65 inch but the fact that it was 10 inches smaller kept bothering me!

Love this TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this TV for a week and the first picture setting came out from the box wasn’t impressive.. After extensive searching for the picture calibrations, I couldn’t be happier !!!! It is now, picture perfect like it supposed to be…

Full array could be better!!

I was hoping for a better black levels being its a “Full array” back lit display. but the “full array” just lights up sections. so you get washed out blacks in those sections. As far as the remote, works ok, but there are issues when using a audio receiver as your switching source. The remote can control your DirecTV box using the from either the DirecTV functions as well as the on board LG guide. but the remote doesn’t have a forward or rewind on it so you have to use the Magic pointer to select the arrows on the screen. Kinda cumbersome compared to the DirecTV remote. (I still use the DTV remote).

and am extremely happy with this purchase

Finally made the jump to 4K (and 75″) after lurking for a couple of years, and am extremely happy with this purchase. Although the first panel had a manufacturing defect (a little spike of brightness halfway along the bottom edge – known as “flashlighting”), it was replaced without fuss and is now perfect.

This is an amazing TV and I am hard to please

This is an amazing TV and I am hard to please. I like high end electronics. The TV itself looks spectacular right out of the box. You have many options to change settings if you wish and it’s easy to do. LG clearly makes the best quality screens. I believe this is why Apple worked with LG to make their 5k iMac screens. This 75 in TV is crazy thin. Beautiful design from top to bottom. The software and user interface is outstanding. Easy to set up and use. It was extremely well thought out. Ive had many Samsung TVs and connectivity and interface has always led me to believe TV design and manufacturing were behind the times. This LG has changed my mind. I am giving this TV 4/5 stars because while the remote control functionality, voice and gesture control is simply amazing in that it acts like a mouse with cursor as you move your hand around and the voice actually does a fantastic job understanding your commands and dialect without training, the main flaw of the remote is that LG did not backlight the buttons so you cant see anything if watching TV in the dark. So far this is the only downfall of the TV. Again, the remote control is fantastic but unless you know where all the buttons are you will need to turn on the lights to use it.

Great TV, exceeds my expectations!

This TV has far exceeded my expectations. I have it set up similar to the settings listed in reviews by Hai Pham and NSG, just slightly different for my visual preference.

I’m lovingly the main viewer

I just purchased this amazing piece of technology to replace my 4 yr old60 inch LG PLASMA I’m a big time gamer and wife movie watcher so figured it’s time to go for the gusto while supplies last for the budget if you know what I mean. Ordered it fri, delivered on time Mon. Morning wow that was AWSOME. I own 4 LG units. I’m happy with picture quality even streaming online. Sound quality I think is superb. Word of warning and this is with any panel tv you get . TURN DOWN YOUR BACKLIGHT. it will preserve your unit longer once those LEDS go out .. its lights out until repaired. This unit is not nano dot tech (IPS) but still AWSOME regardless. I also recommend the LG8500 this models sister.. overall great unit. All around. Great Tv for the price for high end unit. Be sure to read the reviews they help a lot in the research of shopping for the right fit.

Love it!
